Meet Your Instructors
Learn how to teach Pilates as healing, mindful movement from mentors who have been teaching for the right reasons since 2007!
Lindsey taught her first Pilates mat class in 2007 to faculty and students at Virginia Tech. Movement helped her heal after trauma from gun violence and disordered eating, and she’s passionate about creating trauma-informed, inclusive, and affirming studio environments. Lindsey took her first anatomy class at the tender age of 16 and hasn’t stopped nerding out about the human body since. She’s taught thousands of hours of classes, trained dozens of teachers in yoga and Pilates, and is proud of all of the lives her team has changed for the better.
“Lindsey is wonderful teacher and I have learned so much from her in such a short period of time. I have learned to not take myself so seriously and through seeing Lindsey in her own practice, I have been able to find more joy in my practice as well.”
— Silvia, Teacher Training Graduate

Registration for Our Limited Spots Opens on May 28th
Spaces are limited to ensure that we can provide one on one support and a small group learning environment.
Once we’ve reviewed your application and accepted you to the program, you’ll be eligible to secure your spot when we open registration. We recommend marking your calendar for the day that registration opens as space is very limited. We only have 8 spots per cohort and already have more applicants than spaces.
Once you’ve successfully secured your spot, you’ll receive our teacher training agreement and payment details so that you can book your spot with your first payment.
Your investment for this training is $3000. Most teachers at our studio see a financial return on that investment in their fourth month of teaching, but depending on how often you teach, it may be sooner.
The return on investment in terms of your personal growth and the your health is priceless!
A note: completing the training does not guarantee you a teaching spot at the studio. Graduates will still be required to interview, audition, and complete onboarding. If you complete the full requirements of the program and utilize the trainers as mentors, you will be well prepared to audition and begin your Pilates career with us at For the People.
